About me

received his B.Sc. (2003) and M.Sc. (2005) in Civil Engineering from the University of Querétaro, Mexico, and his Ph.D. (2009) in Agricultural and Biological Engineering from Purdue University, USA. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering at the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez since 2021. Previously, he was a Visiting Professor at the University of Lavras, Brazil (2018-2021), Academic Head of the Graduate School at CIDESI, Mexico (2016-2018), and Provost of the Technical University of Querétaro, Mexico (2010-2015). He has published numerous articles in scientific journals on topics such as soil organic carbon, water erosion, and soil water content variability, and has served as a reviewer for scientific journals and guest editor for the journal Sustainability.
